Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Open Health Metrics LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, apps, and related services (the "Services").

This Privacy Policy applies to: openhealthmetrics.com, openhealthmetrics.org, fetchpatches.com, fetchpatches.org, and the P.A.T.C.H.E.S (PATCHES) app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Information you provide to create or manage your account, such as email address, login credentials, and limited details needed for app operation.

Billing Information

If you purchase a paid plan, billing is processed and managed by Stripe. We may receive limited billing metadata (for example, payment status, card brand, or last four digits).

Device and Technical Information

Information such as device type, operating system, app version, browser type, crash logs, and diagnostic events.

Usage Information

We use custom analytics to collect non-identifiable counters and aggregate usage metrics. Examples include feature counts such as pet category selection (for example cat or dog) and aggregate demographics-style counters (for example female users viewing a report), not linked to a specific account identity.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our providers may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, pixels, and similar tools for authentication, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, and ad delivery (where applicable).

2. Information We Do Not Intend to Collect

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data unless it is necessary for a specific feature and disclosed to you in advance.

Any PHI or health-related information entered by you in the app is intended to remain on your device only. We do not back up PHI to our cloud or server systems.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Create and manage user accounts.
  • Process subscriptions and transactions.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Measure performance, analytics, and product reliability.
  • Deliver communications related to service updates, billing, and support.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Legal Bases (Where Required)

Depending on your location, we process data under one or more legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract with you.
  • Your consent.
  • Legitimate interests (for example security and service improvement).
  • Compliance with legal obligations.

5. Advertising and Analytics

Free or ad-supported versions of the Services may include advertising technologies such as Google AdMob. We also use custom analytics for aggregate, non-identifiable counters. Our analytics are intended to measure app behavior and performance, not to track a user's identity across services. You can manage ad personalization using in-app controls (if available) and device settings.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Stripe for subscription and billing operations.
  • Google AdMob for ad-supported offerings.
  • Cloudflare and infrastructure providers for security and delivery.
  • Email service providers for transactional communications and support.
  • Customer support tooling providers and internal support operations.
  • Service providers that support analytics, fraud prevention, and security.
  • Professional advisors (legal, tax, audit) when necessary.
  • Law enforcement or regulators when legally required.
  • A buyer or successor in connection with a merger, sale, or business transfer.

We do not sell personal information for money.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution requirements.

Support tickets are retained until closed, unless selected records are retained longer for internal training, quality, or compliance purposes.

8. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, access controls, and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States. We serve users worldwide. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete personal data, subject to exceptions.
  • Receive a portable copy of certain personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising or certain sharing, where applicable.
  • Appeal a denied privacy request where required by law.

11. U.S. State Privacy Notice

Residents of states with privacy laws (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others) may have additional rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for users age 18 and older. If we learn we collected personal information from someone under 18 in violation of this policy, we will delete it.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no consistent standard, our Services may not respond uniformly to these signals.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version is effective when posted, unless a later date is stated.
